As a former college athlete, crossfit and Olympic weightlifting competitor, personal trainer, and Physical Therapist. I’ve found that a combination of functional strength training and high intensity interval training (HIIT), which involves short intervals of maximum intensity, to be the most effective way to burn fat while building muscle. There’s no better approach to keep making progress than to ‘shock’ your body and continually challenge your heart and central nervous system.
